Reformer Pilates
Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout performed on a specialised machine called a reformer. Using a system of springs, straps, and a sliding carriage, it provides both resistance and support, allowing movements to be precise, controlled, and adaptable for all fitness levels. Each session focuses on core strength, alignment, and breath to create balanced, efficient movement.
Reformer Pilates strengthens the core, improves posture and flexibility, and builds long, lean muscle without putting stress on the joints. It enhances mobility, supports injury prevention and rehabilitation, and promotes a strong mind–body connection, making it an effective and sustainable way to move better and feel stronger.
Sound Baths
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience where participants lie down and are immersed in calming sounds and vibrations created by instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and tuning forks. Rather than actively meditating, you simply rest and allow the sounds to wash over you, guiding your body and mind into a state of deep relaxation.
Sound baths help reduce stress and anxiety, calm the nervous system, and support mental clarity and emotional balance. Many people also experience improved sleep, reduced tension, and a greater sense of wellbeing. By slowing brain waves and encouraging relaxation, sound baths offer a gentle yet powerful way to reset, recharge, and reconnect with yourself.
Barre Workouts
Barre is a low-impact, full-body workout inspired by ballet, Pilates, and strength training. Using small, controlled movements (often performed at a ballet barre), classes focus on high repetitions, isometric holds, and precise form to effectively challenge the muscles.
Workouts typically incorporate light weights, bodyweight exercises, and stretching for a balanced session.
Barre workouts help build long, lean muscle, improve posture, balance, and core strength, and increase flexibility without stressing the joints. They are suitable for all fitness levels and are especially effective for toning, enhancing body awareness, and improving overall strength and endurance in a safe, supportive way.
Mat Pilates & Yoga
We have specialist instructors from across the West Midlands teaching traditional and contemporary Yoga and Mat Pilates classes such as the popular Ying Yang Yoga which combines two styles of yoga in one class. Yang yoga is active and dynamic, focusing on strength, heat, and flowing movements to energise the body.
Yin yoga is slower and more meditative, with longer-held poses performed on the floor to target deep connective tissues, improve flexibility, and encourage stillness.
